Cookie Consent & Privacy

Persona seeks a proof of consent for every new visitor in your website.

Persona recognizes proof of consent collected from most consent management platforms. This proof of consent is verified by Persona at the start of every new session in order to define whether Persona can start, or whether it should seek a new proof of consent first.

If a proof of consent is not found

Persona will verify whether you have a consent management platform in place on your website, so that, if there is one, Persona simply waits for your consent management platform to collect your visitor's consent.

Persona recognizes automatically if you use any of the consent management platforms below:

  • OneTrust
  • Cookiebot
  • Quantcast Choioce
  • TrustArc
  • Civic Cookie Control
  • Axeptio
  • iubenda
  • Cookiefirst
  • Cookiehub
  • Piwik Pro
  • Cookie Information
  • LiveRamp
  • CookieYes
  • Osano
  • Enzuzo

In the event that you do not use any of the consent management plaforms above, Persona will display a cookie consent form on your behalf after a few seconds.

When consent is provided through either of those methods, the proof of consent is saved so that it can be easily re-used in future visits.

If consent is provided

After a proof of consent is found, whether it is a valid consent from a previous session, or a newly provided consent:

Persona will start identifying your visitor, recording its actions, and deliver your communications.

If consent is refused

Visitors being presented with your consent management platform cookie consent form, or Persona's consent form, and declining non-essential cookies will not be identified, their actions will not be tracked, and persona will not deliver them any communications.

The above applies to all campaigns, including campaigns associated with the "Main audience" (any visitor), and the "Visited website" trigger (default trigger which is always true for on-page communications), because without the ability to identify your visitors, Persona would deliver those campaigns "again" at every page visit, since it would lack the ability to identify the visitor, and so, the ability to recognize that the visitor already saw some of your campaigns this session.
