What are Notifications?
A notification is a type of on-page communication channel that can be created in Persona sequences.
Notifications are small notification modals appearing on one of the corner of your visitor’s screen. This type of channel is typically used for small messages due to its size: it includes a text block and an image block at most.
The example below showcases the use of a notification to attract attention on a specific product by showcasing one of its reviews, improving your store's overall social proof at the same time.
How do notifications behave?
Unlike pop-ups, notifications do not disrupt visitors’ sessions. Notifications appear and disappear automatically after 7 seconds without the need for visitors to click a discard button.
Because of this short timeframe, it is recommended that you keep your notification text short and to the point, with clear CTAs.

How attribution and stats work with Notifications?
Notifications track multiple metrics:
Instances - Defines the total number of times this particular notification has appeared during a visitor session in the last 30 days.
Clicks - Defines the total number of times this particular notification has been clicked at least once during a visitor session in the last 30 days.
Hovered - Defines the total number of times this particular notification has been hovered on at least once during a visitor session in the last 30 days.
Orders - Defines the total number of orders that have been attributed to this particular notification in the last 30 days.
Value - Defines the total number of $ value of orders that have been attributed to this particular notification in the last 30 days.
An order can be attributed to a notification only when a click, or a hover on this notification is recorded right before the order is placed. Visitors viewing notifications without hovering or clicking on them will not have their orders attributed to the notification. If more than one Persona communication was interacted with before an order was placed, Persona will attribute the order to the last communication that was interacted with.

How can I set up the "Notifications" Channel?
You do not need to do anything in order to be able to use the "Notifications" channel. Persona automatically injects its script in your Shopify storefront on install, and removes it on uninstall.
